An Epic Spartan Challenge
In this immersive workshop, your pupils will be transported back to Ancient Greece KS2, where they will train alongside Spartan officer Adrian Adamos. Through high-energy drills and activities, they will gain first-hand experience of the rigorous training of Greek soldiers. Pupils will handle replica weapons, learn to form the famous phalanx formation, and face thrilling challenges as they develop the skills needed to protect Ancient Greece from the Persian forces.


Interactive Learning Through Greek Warfare
Packed with action and educational value, this workshop introduces pupils to key aspects of Ancient Greek history, such as battle strategies, discipline and the culture of warfare. Pupils will practice throwing spears and darts, executing marching drills and engaging in shield formations to embody the unity and strength of the Spartan army. The day is designed to bring Greek history alive by giving students an opportunity to experience what it was like to be a soldier in one of the most famous military cultures in history.


The experience is both educational and unforgettable, offering pupils the chance to understand Ancient Greece KS2 timeline while actively participating in tasks that bring this ancient world to life. How It Works
- Morning: The day begins with a dramatic introduction to the ancient Greek soldier culture, followed by exciting warrior drills, commands, and formation building, teaching pupils about Spartan discipline and unity.
- Afternoon: Pupils practice spear and dart throwing, form the phalanx formation using shields, and engage in team-based tactical exercises to enhance their strategic thinking and collaboration.
- Finale: The experience culminates in a high-energy battle charge towards the teachers, followed by a defence using the famous shield formation to protect against sponge attacks. Pupils will also unpack the kit of a travelling soldier and handle real Greek artefacts, gaining a tangible connection to the past.
